Watchmaker Anicorn has announced two new watch models to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the popular PlayStation game console. This special series consists of two different designs: one mechanical and one quartz. Both models will go on sale on December 18th.
PlayStation-themed watches unveiled
The most striking piece in the collection is the mechanical watch called the PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch. This model is inspired by the design language of the first PlayStation console. The watch has a 42.8 millimeter dial and an octagonal case made of 316L stainless steel.
The strap is made of quick-release FKM rubber and features small PlayStation symbols. Its movement is a Miyota 9039 and provides approximately 42 hours of operation when fully wound.
The dial features the famous PlayStation symbols at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. The word “power” is also engraved on the crown. The watch’s glass is protected by sapphire crystal, and the model is water-resistant up to 50 meters. Anicorn has produced only 300 of these mechanical watches. This limited edition watch is priced at $780.
Another option in the series is the PlayStation Anicorn – Play Symbol quartz watch. This watch comes in two different versions: Light Mode and Dark Mode. Both versions feature a round case and a black leather strap.
Their dials feature the iconic PlayStation logo and symbols. The Dark Mode version features a black case and dial, a white PlayStation logo, and colorful symbols. The Light Mode version is designed with a silver case, a white dial, a black PlayStation logo, and gray symbols. Both quartz watch versions come in a transparent box.
